Amy Porter

Commissioner Amy Porter leads Connecticut’s Department of Aging and Disability Services with a steadfast commitment to integrity, respect, and inclusion. She is dedicated to advancing the independence and well-being of older adults and individuals with disabilities through innovative policies and collaborative leadership. Commissioner Porter holds a Doctor of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling with a focus on disability policy from Boston University and serves on multiple state and national committees addressing aging and disability issues. She was also appointed by Governor Ned Lamont to serve as Acting Commissioner of the Connecticut Office of Health Strategy during its leadership transition.
