We are also proud to recognize Andrei Brel as the recipient of this year’s Judith A. Stein Advocate’s Award. After overcoming significant challenges to build a new life in America, Andrei identified a critical gap in elder services for immigrant communities. His vision and leadership led to the founding of Juniper Homecare, the development of four successful adult day centers and culturally sensitive meal programs that provide a welcoming “home away from home” for older adults adapting to a new language, culture, and environment. His work has helped countless seniors combat isolation while maintaining meaningful community connections.
