As we look ahead to the summer slowdown, AgingCT is already preparing for an exciting fall event. In partnership with the Connecticut Association of Centers for Independent Living, AgingCT is proud to announce the lineup for Connecticut’s 2026 Aging & Disability Summit.

This full-day event, taking place on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, CT, will bring together aging and disability professionals for a dynamic experience centered on learning, idea sharing, and meaningful networking.

Building on the success of last year’s Summit, which drew more than 450 attendees and featured a robust schedule of workshops and presentations, the 2026 event promises to be equally impactful.

The Summit will feature keynote speaker Donna Fedus, creator of Borrow My Glasses, a gerontology education company specializing in aging and caregiving issues at work, home, and school. Through her work, Fedus helps families navigate the often complex and overwhelming journey of identifying the best care options for aging loved ones. She also trains professionals and organizations across the eldercare workforce, making her a nationally recognized voice in the field.

This year’s program will include presentations and discussions centered on critical topics such as housing, Social Security, home and community-based care, and advance directives. A diverse group of Connecticut’s leading experts in community services will come together to share innovative strategies and best practices to help adults access the support they need to thrive in their communities.
